I lost a very beloved friend this week. She had a loving, compassionate heart, gentle kindness, and a witty sense of humor that had everyone within a large radius of her laughing. She also had a deep abiding faith that shone through her actions, as well as her words.
Though I am very grateful she is free of the pain and ravages of cancer, it is still hard to let go of the friendship we shared--even though I know love never ends. The many childhood and teen memories keep flooding in and filling my eyes with tears and my heart with sadness at her loss. The world is dimmer without her shining presence of love.

I release her into God's loving arms with such a grateful heart to have had a wonderful friend like Becky King. And I believe I can hear heaven laughing to greet her. Go with God, Becky. You will live on in the hearts and minds of all those who love you!

The three Kusketeers are now two. The void is enormous, my heart is heavy, but I rejoice that she is with our Father. We were blessed to have such a friend, Karen.

Yes, Lisa, I feel the same way. So grateful for being part of Becky's life in friendship that's lasted through all the years. The memories are wonderful and sustaining. Though I haven't seen Becky in years, the connection we had via internet was still strong and she was so uniquely herself. That was a blessing, too. We two Kusketeers will carry on ...

Kind words and true, Karen. Becky was unique and I, too, was overwhelmed with the memories and between the laughter and the tears, I saw heaven smile.

I had the privelage of meeting Becky at the age of 17 while serving tables at Denny's and trying to get through high school while my parents where divorcing and I was supporting myself. Becky was an amazing person to talk to she always told me you will do great things bc your smart. Here I was just trying to get through high school well I made and she attended my graduation. She told me go on and get a further education. Well time passed on and I moved away. Well 4 year ago we reconnected on Facebook and I was able to tell her I not only made it I have 2 masters degrees. She was so happy. I had the privelage of coming back to the area last year and taking her too lunch before the cancer completely took over. I am so glad I made the 6 hour drive. She was truly one of a kind. When I wanted to cry and feel sorry she made me laugh and she told me many times just it was too back on those days at Denny's as I call it. I probably shouldn't tell this but I will there where 3 of us that worked at Denny's and the. Becky who was always there as a customer and friend to the other employees as well. Super friend Becky lol. We got in Janine's big brown van while she drove and the other 3 of us All with rather large backsides opened the van 2 as Janine drove by the glass windows and we give that Friday night bar crowd 3 bare moons. I will never forget it.
